Part of a panoramic photograph of Boston's waterfront in the mid-1870s. This image depicts a portion of Central and India wharves and shows many ships in the harbor. The Grand Trunk Railway depot can be seen at the end of India Wharf with the "Forest City" steamer docked alongside the station. The photograph is taken from the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Central Street. The upper stories of 26-27 Central Street can be seen in the right foreground.
